I started listening about a month ago when I had to cancel my Scotland trip. The places and stories that they talk about is so wonderful! It makes me feel like I’m there wandering about the ruins and castles! The chatter is so adorable. These two make me feel like I’m there with them enjoying a dram or a tea with them. My only complaint is that I wish I’d have found them sooner!! I’m going to miss you guys so bad!! I’m almost in tears just listening to the last episode. Good luck to you both!! I have listened from day one basically and I have loved the stories, the histories, the spooks and all of the banter between Eilidh and Kieran. I do understand it’s a lot of work, but we have appreciated it immensely! Y’all are the best. From Morganton, North Carolina with love!

Love this podcast. I am late to this but Eilidh & Kieran are amazing and the storytelling is top notch. Makes me wish my ancestors hadn’t left Scotland in the 1800s. Well worth a download or 17 (coffins).

I discovered this podcast on a flight from London to San Francisco, I listened to all 4 episodes that were available on the plane and found them to be very entertaining. They have a great mixture of history and myth, and a splash of humor. Their banter is very enjoyable.

Another American follower. I enjoy Eilidh and Kieran’s witty banter. Eliidh’s episodes are really well researched Scottish history stories with spooky added in. Anyone who enjoys history and Scotland would love this podcast!

As a big fan of history, all things spooky, true crime, and Scotland in general, Generally Spooky has quickly become my new favorite podcast. The hosts are wonderful, as are the stories—when I first started listening, I was surprised to find out this show doesn’t have thousands of subscribers (yet). It’s that good! I live in LA but each episode transports me somewhere new.

I love this podcast so much that I downloaded the podcast app just to leave a review. I live in Las Vegas, but listening to this podcast makes me feel like I’m in the Highlands sharing a mug of tea with two pals listening to spooky history. I rate this podcast 17 coffins.

A fantastic hidden gem of a podcast. Kieran and Eilidh are delightful hosts. Their banter is charming -often affectionate if not begrudgingly amused- and not obtrusive. They balance each other well. And heaps of kudos to Eilidh on the quality and quantity of research she puts into the show. It is apparent in every episode. Seriously I can’t speak highly enough about the research Eilidh does. One of my favorites! I smile every time I see a new episode in my feed.

I love learning about Scotland; it’s history, traditions, and most importantly Scottish myths and legends, so it’s no wonder I am drawn to this fantastic podcast! Kieran and Eilidh do a great job, this is definitely worth a listen (plus, who doesn’t love a Scottish accent?!)

I’ve been binge listening to Generally Spooky since I discovered it through Kieran’s Instagram story. The first episode of season one blew my mind. I love a good husband and wife podcast; this style just makes me feel apart of the conversation instead of someone talking to me. Also they are very interactive on their socials and I appreciate that. Love being able to have access to the podcasters to ask questions or start a conversation about the podcast I’ve just listened to.

I loved this story and can’t wait for more episodes!

Eilidh has the perfect voice that you can listen to forever as she tells spooky stories from Scottish lore. Luckily, her accent is also very mild so a Yank like me had no trouble understanding!
