    My favorite band
I look forward to every episode & they always deliver interesting stories behind the songs. Listening to Dave, Mike, & Alan also reminds me of one of the core reasons Cowboy Junkies have been my favorite band for over 20 years; they aren’t your run of the mill musicians. They are incredibly intelligent & principled people. Please keep the podcast going. Your fans appreciate hearing songs & stories.

“GREAT! A NEW PODCAST!”- Said by no one ever. HOWEVER…
I am going to start by saying I am NOT a podcast person. Seems odd to waste precious time listening to them. I am however a Cowboy Junkies fan. So when the email came that there was a new podcast about the Cowboy Junkies I first was interested but didn’t really follow up on the interest straightaway. Lately I came upon it again and decided to give it a listen. WOW! Even though I don’t think it will drastically change my view of podcasts, it has deepened my appreciation and fondness for Cowboy Junkies as a fan. It’s nice to learn about and get to know the band better as musicians, and songwriters, and as people. So the next time I see them in concert it will help me get over my personal shyness/intimidation of them and say hi after all these decades of seeing them.

This is the podcast I need in my life
As a long time fan I have heard many of the stories behind the songs because CJ has always shared so much with their audience. This takes it from the concert into the deep dives I do into their albums, old and new. It’s another layer that I never knew I needed until I started listening to this podcast. It’s also a great companion to the book Music is the Drug.” I plan to listen to the entire series on an upcoming overseas flight!

    Very Insightful
I never review podcasts, though I listen to many hours of them. But this one deserves the time it will take me to write a thoughtful review. Whether you’re a dedicated Llama or a casual listener to Cowboy Junkies, this insightful podcast will give you a new perspective on the band’s music. After listening to the special episode for At the End of Paths Taken I am giving the album another listen with a renewed point of view. Do yourself a favor and listen to this podcast.

    Thoughtful
I love CJ and this is fascinating for me. My only gripe is that I would like to also occasionally hear from Margo. Also, each podcast should end with the featured song played in its entirety.

    Good, but could be better
Enjoying the show, especially the latest on “Sun Comes up, It’s Tuesday Morning.” I hope for more probative questioning by the interviewer. Michael referenced an “obscure Bruce Springsteen song” as the influence for the music and the very obvious question “which song” was left unasked.😳😳😳 More on the influences/inspiration for the lyrics will go along way to moving this rating to a solid 5!!

Very satisfying trip down memory lane
Having fun connecting with my twenty year old self. It’s a refreshing turn away from the everyday gloom.

    First episode is well done
Based on the first episode, I thought the podcast was just long enough to be interesting. I’m not a fan of marathon podcasts that are filled with pointless banter. This is not that. I think any cowboy junkies fan will find this interesting.
