ArndisneyMehSpends too much time promoting a boring comedian vs actually discussing a good show!
-
robotk752-1/2 Butts or 5 Butt Cheeks of a podcast. That is high praise.Love this pod more than a Targaryen loves their cousins.
-
kam-miIntelligent and entertaingThis podcast is a lot of fun! I look forward to being entertained and also learning new information about the Game of Thrones lore. I highly recommend this podcast. I look forward to listening to it every week!

ms lollyLove this podcast !I love this podcast, such a wonderful mixture of people , viewpoints and textures . I love the way you two work together and also, the other guests you bring in… the music , editing, all beautiful. To be honest, I’m a little sad how negative the last episode was ( Green Council) and in general with Dragon, very critical …. I really love the show and choices they are making … in fact in many ways superior to Thrones. The claustrophobia we feel is spot on to the pressure of the world these characters are in. Was so looking forward to your takes… will keep listening of course and we all see things our own way, was just surprised . The mad dash to find Aegon was so Rhaynera would not be harmed … not sure why that didn’t play for you, I loved the stakes . At any rate , thanks for a great show and will keep listening …. Just hope the vibe stays fun . It’s wonderful Dragon exists .

ShanjammmGood stuffHave loved these guys for a while but just listened to The Green Council and want to say thank you for finally giving the exact criticism that I’ve been thinking and not hearing from any of my other pods!!!

@OomSmittyAlways Entertaining!Steve and Anthony always bring a balanced mix of insight and humor. One question I have: When rating episodes, how many levels are there between the grades? For example, is a "Dany plus 2" just one step below a "Dinklage minus 2"? Is a "Dorne plus 8" better or worse than a "Dinklage minus 1"? Thanks!

RobnelliottFunny and UniqueThis podcast always offers unique, interesting and hilarious takes on HOTD. If you don’t enjoy this podcast, you’re Larys.
-
Dr.VoytekOne of the best! One of the better HOTD breakdowns. Everyone else wants to mention some sort spoiler. They do not.

SlappyConQuesoGood for your health! When I’m on the toilet, there is nothing better. Those sweet buttery tones just clean me out! Thank you gentlemen
-
monkajoGreat content with a lighter sideThe well-timed humor fills the void of Tyrion’s absence. I always picture the Hanna-Barbera character Muttley when the hosts laugh. Good times. Great content. Don’t stop!

AndrewDrew123Great GoT….HotD….ASOIAF podcastHosts are great. Entertaining…knowledgeable…good insight. I’m a loyal book fan first and foremost but this is great and balances multiple aspects of this complex universe. (This is literally the only podcast review I’ve ever written…that’s how much I recommend it.)
-
GreboyerjrYou got meI am writing this review because I like the podcast and I hope it keeps going.
-
JamesbraggAlmost my favorite podcastThis is good stuff, very funny and also informative with guests who specialize in medieval studies adding some context to everything. The host is my favorite podcaster and I’ll listen to anything he puts out. I listen to a ton of podcasts daily (boring job) so to say this is my second favorite is actually extremely high praise.

myalteregoisanavysealThis Podcast has it ALLFun jokes, cool insights, lore interpretations, fascinating information-like real historical facts! Bring the whole family to DBL Dragon for a great time! (Channeling my best Stefon)

aud the reLove this podcast!I discovered this show through BaldMove. I didn’t think I needed additional coverage for HOTD, but man was I wrong! The hosts are their own kind of hilarious and insightful. As a history major I love all the medieval experts they have on the show. Thank you!
-
natakazamMy favorite podcastI absolutely adored the intelligent and in-depth coverage of the first book on Electric Bookaloo. Very much enjoying Anthony and Steve’s coverage of HOTD, and while I’m sad HOTD season 1 will be over in a few weeks, I’m so excited for the book discussion to resume. Keep up the great work.

kellyjsonNever miss an episode!I'm late to the GOT and HOTD worlds, but this is by far my most favorite podcast that is devoted to them. The banter between the hosts is entertaining and often makes me laugh which isn't always easy given the storylines. I also think the contrast between their backgrounds helps the podcast from becoming too serious and heavy and, therefore, potentially tedious like some others out there. Anyway, love you guys and please don't ever stop the podcast!

Kevin at ISUya think ya know hot-d podcasts, chief?Anthony and Steve getting together to talk about this show made every dream I ever had come true, followed by the subsequent inception and fulfillment of newer, better dreams. I also grew four inches, my Blockbuster account was no longer considered “in arrears”, and my breath became permanently minty fresh. I honestly think the show is three stars, but I can’t figure out how to change the rating because this is my first smartphone and it was literally just handed to me 30 seconds ago. As far as smartphones go, I picked up on the keyboard quickly but the sliding finger thing still evades my understanding, so that’s how to square that one.

WaffleParty79Love everything these two do.Although, my judgment might be suspect… I too enjoyed Season 8 of Game of Thrones.
-
teamgiffinAdmirable jobThese guys are entertaining - nice guests and entertaining banter - five stars 👍. Listen during work and can still glean educational nuggets - admirable job fellas.

drg0nzoDouble the pleasureI started listening to Maester Anthony’s coverage of the first book and the rewatch with Steve. I was quickly a fan. As the rewatch was winding down I was getting nervous that I wasn’t going to get my Anthony and Steve fix. Thanks for continuing. The perspective of the high scholarly coverage mixed with Steve awesome 40 something on point Get X humor is really just great. I appreciate it as a 40 something gen X geek dad. Keep doing what your’e doing. Great addition to bald move!
-
mirjamFLSo entertaining and informativeI was thrilled when I discovered the Electric Bugaloo crew would be covering HOTD. Not only do you offer great insight into the show, but I have yet to not laugh out loud several times each episode. Thank you so much for making my commute so much more bearable. Keep up the great work!
-
Jeff from midwestDouble troubleWe need more of Steve and his opinion. Steve needs to be awake and just a little stoned not blazed out of his mind. That might help. The professor is doing great when boats are involved but without boats he needs to step it up.😎 Love you guys keep doing what your doing. I will listen to whatever you talk about.

Kwtf2016A Theologian and A Comedian Walk into a BarWell you will find it Delightful. Amid all the wise-cracking you also find wisdom and insights into all sorts of art forms and human existence I only wish I knew to appreciate their friendship and conversation a lifetime ago
-
Ally00SO GOODI LOVE your intellectual and funny banter. I also really appreciate the other guests you interview to help get a deeper grasp on all things Westerosi. Keep it up guys!
-
NOLA LayneFavoriteThis is one of my favorite podcasts! I look forward to it every week- it’s the perfect combination of funny and insightful! I listened to every episode of Bookaloo and am so happy you continued the podcast with House of the Dragon. Thank you!

HiiiieeeeeDouble BummerI really loved the Electric Boogaloo rereads from Anthony’s other podcast. I absolutely enjoy the different view points and inside information from academia guests. Why I won’t be listening to Double Dragon anymore is because the hosts seem to only find the negatives in everything. It seems to me that they are looking for reasons to not like the show. Everybody has their opinion and that is fine but the mention of every episode that it’s not “funny” enough for them because there isn’t a Tyrion like character is getting very stale. It’s a family drama fantasy not a family comedy fantasy. I would love to see more optimism from the hosts. In all honesty If I keep listening I will only be skipping to the part where professors are giving more inside information into medieval life.
-
Bryon RickersonGood stuff.Funny stuff. Thorough. Great academic guests. Probably the best Game of Thrones and Dragon Huts show out there. Thanks for the effort.
-
LadyDickensThe best!!!I am remiss that it took me so long to write this. In short, I love this podcast andI am a producer on a podcast myself and often listen while I am working on our show. Not only are you two the PERFECT team, I also love the way you layer in guests from different walks of life to add different vistas and textures to the exploration of themes and such. So much to say about all that I love about this show ( I also loved your work the Game of Thrones Podcast)…. But at the hearts the spirit in the mixed how you love the art of storytelling. And I must say, Steve’s experience with Season 8 made me see it through new eyes and I NOW LOVE IT TOO! It’s that love of stories well told that keeps becoming back and I would listen to you gents read the phone book!

EvanMDubsThis is a podcastDecent.

DeJ523Best explanation for “ the bells”I agree if you were shocked by Danny’s action you was not paying attention. Also shows how good the show is written that people over looked all the signs she was become the mad queen. Great break down this week. Can’t wait for you guys to do break downs of house of the Dragon.
-
cosmicbudNational TreasureSome say this podcast is difficult to find, but I was able to easily track it down in the National Archives. You should grab it too before Nicolas Cage steals it.
-

-
FittenTrimGreat GuysI *think* we sat in front of these guys at the HotD premiere. Very nice and very knowledgeable. Give them a listen!
-
maadbruvGoshThese guys are great. Found on the dungeons and demogorgons feed. Such insightful and contextual recaps of ST that don’t drone on summary mode thanks to the D&D dice. Love the never ceasing commitment to goocher bit. An 8 on first roll would be a bummer but also… funny! Would love to hear recaps of 2-3 now knowing about Vecna.
-
Hackhunter606Great pod!’Love the show. Listen at work. Paid to listen
-

-
Maceo3000Quality pod!If you love ST, you should enjoy Ant and Steve’s always thoughtful, yet lighthearted coverage. They share their feelings, the ones we all go through watching this great show. A “perfect” companion to the show. Give these strangers a try. And check out their GOT show if you haven’t yet!
-
Tristan_IRLFun and InterestingI’m a big stranger things fan and with the announcement of the new season I wanted to re-explore the earlier seasons ahead of time. This podcast is the perfect way of so and I highly reccomend!
-
TStewartYou had me at "ridikulose"This is exactly the podcast I didn't know I needed. I so hope the rest of the seasons get the same treatment.
-
Podcast For DinnerHappy I found thisGreat pod, so happy I found this as I love ST. Currently doing a small binge to catch up. Hope this pod continues
-
K8 NightcoffeeGreat look back at ST season 1Thoughtful look at ST season 1 including a lot of discussion I hadn’t heard before on inspiration for the series. Please keep going and do subsequent seasons!
-
badabingeGreat Companions!!A perfect podcast for people who love Stranger Things, and possibly for those watching for the first time who want to catch up on the through-lines and understand added context to the show. I hope the podcast continues through seasons 2 & 3 because of course my rewatch of season 1 didn’t stop there and now I want to hear the duo’s take on them as well. Just easy fun, some laugh out loud commentary and I’m headed over to Cocoon’s Of Horror to leave my 5 star review there as well! These are the Perfect Strangers to Bald Move and I really enjoy listening! Great job, great fun and hope we can continue!! Kudos!
-
DC DawgsBecause I want an email from Steve! No but really I am all in with the duo. The guys are great in both GoT Podcast, Cocoon of Horror and now Stranger. They touch all the feels (and sensory stimulations) with references to my own childhood growing up in the 80’s and 90’s. Stranger Things is a great show to do all those things. Keep it up guys….and if you watch it and speak it they will come!
-
desertbuttonsGive me more!If you created in a secret evil lab the perfect two podcast hosts, and then said hosts escaped. That would be the best pilot episode of a podcast, EVER! Thanks Steve and Anthony. Don’t stop doing this show I want to watch the new season with this cast to accompany.
-
A-man2120Perfect PoscastAnthony and Steve are great and their coverage is this show is hilarious. Please keep it going!
-
pjyeltonAcademic Ivory Tower Meets 80s PopEven though I watched the first season of Stranger Things years ago, it’s been so much fun to relive each episode with Anthony and Steve. Their quirky mix of academically insightful analysis and irreverent humor, coming from the source of a long friendship, creates an engaging (and surprisingly wholesome) podcast that has been funny enough at times for me to literally do a split take, much to my daughter’s delight! I encourage everyone to try the authors of ‘build-a-Will!’
-
hbaberneWe need more Anthony and Steve!!Just a really fun listen- I love the back and forth between Anthony and Steve, and I love revisiting beloved shows and nostalgic pop culture! Substantive and lighthearted, this show is a much needed break from the covid pandemic hellscape we are current living in.
