MH Warrior & Neurospicy MamaSo much great information!I have Bipolar Disorder and I have learned so much from this great podcast. I appreciate them sharing their stories and information.

cintia zambranoThe best Bipolar podcast that I’ve found!I’m a person living with bipolar and I like that I have both the perspective of a doctor and the perspective of the patient (and loved ones of patients). It explores areas from different angles to acknowledge that cases can vary. Thanks Gabe to be so open about your story.

VirtualPilgrimSo helpful! My son was diagnosed in 2020. He has been doing very well and is able to manage things very well. But this year he earned too much to keep his Medicaid. Losing his team, and his therapist said he doesn’t need his antipsychotic because he’s been symptom-free for 3 years. What?! He’s been symptom-free because he took his meds and kept up his care and routine! Anyway, you guys are wonderful. Shared you with my support group. Looks like I will be needing you more than ever!

PH859SkiSo Informative and HelpfulMy 21 year old son has bipolar disorder and has recently been talking about getting off his medication. Today I listened to an episode addressing this topic and learned so much. I really appreciate both sides, the patient and the psychiatrist being included. This helps me to better understand how he feels and that he is not unique in thinking about this. Thanks so much!

JustaVetMommaof5Educational and HelpfulAfter I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, I found this podcast. Gabe and Dr. Nicole have done an exceptional job with explaining different subjects that have helped me navigate my symptoms. Each episode has been on point with my own experiences with living with Bipolar. At first diagnosis, I was terrified because of the world’s stereotype view of Bipolar. But, this podcast has eased my view of my Bipolar disorder diagnosis.

DreamZonerOveracting by Gabe, sadly!Gabe tries too hard. A "Jerry Springer" type of perfectionist. Sadly, he is passive-aggressive toward Dr. Nicole. She should break off and do her own podcast. Gabe is overacts and it dampens the show.

Sandwhichgunsound43Younger brother just diagnosed w BP1My wife shared this with me after brother had a very scary manic episode. He checked himself in for 72hrs going on 11 days. I’m so grateful I have this pod. It is authentic and honest and seeing both sides is so helpful. I have shared with my whole family. We all have a lot of work to do and look forward to being on a team together. Thank you both for this resource.

Tash57Just what I neededI came across show recently in a desperate attempt to understand what my love one is going to through with this diagnosis. I’ve listened and it has helped me to see through Gabe, the experiences of someone with bipolar and the clinical side from Dr. Nicole. This creates a great balance and perspective to the discussion around the topics. Thank you Gabe for pursuing this podcast. I pray it blesses many as you continue to provide more insights

katyoakpdxNot great for folks who aren’t 100% on board with the medical modelThe topics can be super interesting at first blush, but I find the hosts to be unsympathetic and patronizing towards people’s personal choices, particularly in regards to medication. I think the show could use a trigger warning for people who consider themselves psychiatric survivors. We are making decisions that affect every moment of our lives and have huge impacts on our health and quality of life. It is a deeply personal and complex thing. Not doing what your doctor tells you does not you mean you lack insight or are foolish or uninformed. At most, they know you for an hour a week, or more likely, an hour or two a year. Both hosts often seem incredulous that people might want to make their own medical decisions. Honestly, at times I find it down right insulting. I would love to find a podcast covering some of these topics that takes a much more person-centered approach.

KoMo0420Great info, but…I’m still in the 2022 episodes. I’d like to hear more from Dr Nicole. Gabe certainly has wisdom to share, and I’m glad he’s using his platform this way, but I find myself fast forwarding through much of what he says because he uses a lot of words to express a thought. I think he’s taking a rhetorical position on some things but I cringe when the bipolar position is a bit whiny and self-centered. I really appreciate Dr Nicole’s reminders that others’ reactions to our plight are understandable and maybe we need to consider the effect our behavior has on them. All in all helpful information to incorporate into my life.

NJGirlintheUKA great podcast for advice and for learning about the bipolar experienceI started listening a few weeks ago and I’m hooked! As a person with bipolar disorder there are few opportunities to hear about other people’s experiences with the disorder that really resonate with my own. It’s especially encouraging to hear advice about how to get through depressive, manic and mixed episodes. I appreciate both hosts so much and I hope they keep making great content!!

Furstrated fanHelpfulI really enjoy the way this podcast helps me to understand bipolar from the point of view of a person living with the diagnosis. I would love to hear how family members can get help for someone they love that is displaying symptoms and support their recovery after diagnosis. What things do we say or do that are triggering? We don’t want to make things worse. What things do we say or do that help? We love our bipolar family.

DaTop$hopperBest Bipolar Podcast EverI tried to find a good bipolar podcast a year or two ago but was largely disappointed. I decided to give it one more search and found this gem. I burned through 3 straight episodes while working out at the gym and have now downloaded more. This is a GREAT new tool to put in the bipolar tool kit.

notcrazyinidahoGreat relatable informationI just listened to the agitation and irrationality podcast and I had a moment of relief. When medication was talked about being the possible reason for agitation,I related. I hit my hand on a counter in a argument and broke it. I was told I was crazy but it ended up being a medication I had just started. Thank you for letting me know it wasn't just me being "crazy".

olive beautyBipolar 2 & ADHDGreat podcast and the silliness makes it a little easier to take the information in. I was just diagnosed with bipolar too and I’m terrified. I hope they do an episode with ADHD and bipolar 2

jendella713I do not have bi polarThis podcast has become part of my routine. I do not have bi polar, however many of my family members do. I have PTSD, depression, and anxiety. This podcast has given me insight about this mental disorder and has helped me better understand and communicate with my family members. Please share this podcast with friends and family. Dr. Nicole and Gabe Howard have such a refreshing balance to each other in their personalities, as well as their knowledge and experience. I would love more interviews perhaps with others managing Bi polar. Or perhaps how it’s like to live with someone whose not managing their bi polar. I really appreciate both of you reaching out to this community and making this information so genuine and candid. Thank you so much !

Gombel, DanielThe most peculiar mix of realism, pessimism, and optimism I've ever seenI often wonder what Gabe is like in real life. Is he this well spoken, chipper, and wise while eating lunch with his co-workers? What is a meeting like with that forceful push toward the goal? All I know is living with bipolar is awful and while I don't like being placated, I also don't like to constantly hear that I'm weak and wounded. Somehow, Gabe hits the mark. I feel seen, heard, and understood. . . and powerful. Like I can control my own destiny. It's the most peculiar mix of realism, pessimism, and optimism I've ever seen.
