The End Up

THE END UP is a cerebral thriller that takes place in a tilted near-future where terminal cancer patients who wish to end their suffering must attend a weeklong bootcamp. Two best friends wrestle with their goodbye after one enrolls in the program and the other grows skeptical.

    Weird...and where is it going??
    I really wanted to like this. It definitely had me interested and I was hoping for some twists or some great reveal or something coming together in the last episode or something, but it really just had some weird events in it that didn't really fit or make sense and it didn't come together well. Even if the intention is to continue the story with a 2nd season or something the last episode ends in such a bizarre, almost pointless way it just made it seem like a waste of time building for that.

    This podcast is incredible. I stumbled upon this while searching for a podcast on a recent long drive. I started the first episode and was immediately hooked. The storyline is unique. Acting is great. Writing superb. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to hear a great story! My only complaint is I wish there were more episodes! Please make a season 2!

    Intriguing Sci-Fi Story
    I thought it treated the plot development with a lot if intelligences. There was mystery and heart with the characters to get invested in. It is dark but that’s what makes it seem believable. There is strong language, death, and one “love scene” hence the mature rating. I was on the edge of my seat!

    This podcast is real. It’s a great representation of the full spectrum of emotions that make up life. It’s funny, sad, dark, irreverent, infuriating, vulnerable, frightening , unconditional love, resignation, faith, sacrifice, hopeful. The writing is flawless, authentic and familiar as I remember thinking some of the same things when dealing with a loved one dying of cancer. It grabs you and expertly guides you along with building tension and suspense. The voice actors were excellent and utterly believable. Top notch quality all around. I wish there were more podcasts like this.

    I’m 3 episodes in - episodes 2 and 3 really ramp up and hooked me, cool near-future world, some fun wild/unexpected stuff going but it seems grounded in deep characters and relationships. Excited to see where it goes from here.
