GarrettgirlsAlways learning đđźI learn so much about spiritual warfare from The Exorcist Files. I share this podcast with friends and family because itâs so valuable and also entertaining. Thank you so much for all your hard work. I also love being a vault member, I highly recommend joining. Itâs worth it for the extra content. God bless.

A.JAXOne of my favorites butâŚ.I love and look forward to the thought provoking interviews and topic driven chats w/Ryan and Fr. Martins. This podcast alone has dispelled many of the misconceptions I held of the Catholic faith as well as led me to reexamine my Lutheran upbringing and, frankly, my entire relationship with God. That said, the exorcism case re-enactment episodes I can do without. I realize this is âThe Exorcist Filesâ and many clearly enjoy these episodes. I just personally find them to be on the corny side and that distracts me from the actual stories. Something about the reenacting of such events makes me uncomfortable anyway. So the season ends for me when the drama portion of the podcast begins. Well produced otherwise. Half of this podcast will always be in my Top 5.

H ContriteGreat content with a tiresome host?tame the lame, broExcellent content. A force for good in the world. 5 stars on that note. Have been a fan from the beginning. One specific point of criticism if the creators are reading this: while I can appreciate the host aims to balance the heavy themes with lighthearted jokes here and there, Ryanâs constant joking has gotten tiresome, especially when over used (feels like every segue, every initial response to fr. Martins is reliably eye rolling) and comes off as strained and indulgent. Please donât rely so much on stupid jokes in your writing and interviewing. The constant attempts at comic relief have become obnoxiousâeven approaching dreadful. Just fyi, as an avid fan Iâm starting to skip ahead as soon as I hear Ryanâs voice just to avoid the predictably lame witticisms. If my criticism seems a little harsh itâs only because Iâve listened to most episodes multiple times. (As a whole, the show is that good!) Appreciate all the hard work that goes into the podcast. God bless yâall!

AnnaBluePoppyAmazing Catechesis! In addition to being entertaining, this show is an amazing catechesis for Christians. I am Catholic but can appreciate the hostâs perspective as a protestant as well as the perspectives of the various guests. Sure, the reenactments are more entertaining, but I enjoy and learn from the interviews and Q

JEX7373Exercising my ignorance - and a plea for helpâŚIâve always been wondrously worried by the demons and devils throughout scripture. Having been raised LDS for 50 years, I had already developed some views that this show has shattered. On my new journey, Iâve left the Masons and the LDS church - Iâm now âspiritually homeless,â and this show has âexorcisedâ so many false views Iâve had of the catholic faith and her priests. Iâve learned so much ch more about the war we are a part of, and who to look to for victory. Please keep up the great work and - if I may - Iâd like to ask you both to say a prayer for my beautiful wife and I to find a church and new faith-filled friends, as now we are both terribly lonely. God bless you and your efforts, my brothers in Jesus Christ. đâ¤ď¸

PodcastsAreLife!Disappointing Second SeasonThe first season was good and I was looking forward to the second season. Well, I find myself fast forwarding or skipping episodes because they are just interviews and Q&A sessions. The second season does not live up to the hype which is disappointing.

rkatcts11Bishops are not ApostlesBy definition, an Apostle is a disciple that was at the beginning of Jesus ministry, saw Him die and witnessed His resurrection from the grave. All other believers after that are called to be disciples, teachers, preachers, etc. All believers are called to be disciples of Christ as in Matthew 28: 17 - 20 as Christ leads us. Christ has given his disciples the power to remove demons and heal the sick in Luke 9: 1 - 2 and that can only be accomplished thru Jesus and with a lot of prayer. Demons and sickness fear the living God and will flee from him, but have no fear of just a man. I enjoyed the show.

south philly lillyFascinating, but....I've always found this subculture of the Catholic Church fascinating. In fact, it renews my faith in someways. And then you changed everything up so much so that your leads are now for male only groups as advertisements. Instead of information, youâve turned over to indoctrination . If thatâs not the way of the Catholic Church, then I donât know what is Change your title. Change what you said the second season was going to be. At least, tell the truth as to whatâs going on and why this season is so much different than the last Does it have something to do with the allegations? It canât be the broken rib story this long Itâs been a year since we were told the 2 nd season would âmake heads spinâ You reached your kickstarter So, whatâs up? Bait and switch

deeebee26Incredibly informative - has brought me close me to GodLove this podcast; I have learned so much, and feel like Iâm learning more about God and his love for us in the process. Thank you!!!
-
tuRrrrRRrRrRRRRdNot what we were promisedI couldnât wait for the second season. The first season was amazing. Donated to the Kickstarter and shared it everywhere you raised a ton of money couldnât have been happier for you and yet this season is nothing like what you said and I agree with the other reviewers, it is not the show that we fell in love with

Laurski333For every background of faith and beyondI love the multi- perspective view between Father Carlos and Ryan as well as bringing in many different backgrounds of faith. It is very informative and holds your attention well. Keep on with the dad jokes!

sofiablovesgoogleGreat job in bringing light to darkness! This podcast has been doing great in bringing to light the Spiritual Warfare we all battle on a daily basis. Praise be to God! Personally, I am able to see a little more my own personal challenges but I also see more and more of Godâs Grace and Love for us, how he meets us where we are and how he wants us to return to Him because we are meant to belong to Him only. I appreciate the dramatic stories so well told and enacted , but I also appreciate the different perspectives and interviews you have brought, they too are witnesses of our Lordâs Ocean of Mercy! God has sent a Team to help us while still here on earth and I am big fan of ALL of what this Podcast has created thus far, keep up the great work! Thank you for all innumerable time and effort you put into this podcast and for all you do and may God bless you and protect you all!

JustMaria&Bella2I love the Exorcist Files!!!Learning about my faith more deeply for Lent and LOVING the dramatized episodes as well.
-
Marlowe_3383ExcellentI am thoroughly enjoying the deep dives with Fr. Martins and other Catholic theologians. Very educational.
-
GdetroGreat for any level of beliefThis will confirm or bring you closer to God.

Nicole7722Why?Why the change in programming? Started with moderate dramatization. Listenership took offâŚ. Next, you hyped the intense second season. Now the show is almost all interviews. My hypothesis, the push back from the church outweighed your success. Why not be honest and say the format has changed. The new format is fine but appeals to a different audience. As a catholic, this show has been both thought and anxiety provoking. The lean into only advertising male Christian programs was really sad. Couldnât offer a womanâs option? I was hoping this show could help affirm my Catholic faith. After many episodes itâs only raised more questions.
-
Cajun4LibertyGreat show - Need Orthodox perspectiveLove you guys; we Orthodox totally disagree with the Romans on the immaculate conception of Our Lady. Definitely need more input from Eastern Orthodox priests.
-
MusicalMissionaryGive the People What They WantWe get it. But you know what we want. Bring the reenactments back. Thatâs the ENTIRE POINT of this show, right? To reveal Fatherâs case files? Thatâs what you said it would be. Thatâs what you promised. I get others want something different; thatâs why there are different podcasts.
-
Rixat ApendiYes be yes.Weâll, you are not delivering your promised shows! Let your yes be yes, and your no be no. Sure seems like you have enough money from your advertising as the show has much advertising in it. I do appreciate your show as I am listening to every episode.
-
jkaisers1982New episodes? When are we going to get new episodes of the dramatizations?
-
Francoist SatireMake a second showIt would be better to make a reenactment mini-series and a parallel interview/lecture show. If you run out of money/material, thatâs fine! The best shows know when to end.
-
hrdiva89Love this showI love this show and canât get enough. I listen to episodes over and over to catch things I might have missed. I especially love and prefer the guests youâve had on in discussing different topics. Iâve learned so much! Iâm also glad you had Protestant Pastors on as well and how they view and handle this topic. I even prefer the discussions over the dramatizations. My favorite shows have been about the background of the making of the movies âNefariousâ and âThe Exorcistâ. I love the behind the scenes info. The shows present such good and thought provoking information. Bravo in putting together such an awesome show! I look forward to each episode.
-
calilylilI get the recent criticismBut I enjoy the theology discussions from various practitioners. I understand it is not how the podcast began. And not how itâs been advertised. But I think these folks are solidly behind bringing people to faith in Jesus Christ. If itâs done with high production-value reenactments - great. If itâs done with simple interviews with people speaking about their faith and deliverance journeys - thatâs great, too. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Thank you, Lord, for the harvesters.
-
KitMon18Disappointing Season 2A bit disappointed in Season 2. Skipping the interview episodes, holding out for the dramatizations. Itâs been weeks. Season 1 was much better.
-
Bwood920Get back to the rootsI used to love this podcast. I told everyone I knew to listen to it! However, the content quality has gone downhill. It is February 2025 and there hasnât been a true dramatized episode since November 2024. Donât get me wrong the interviews are fine, the theories and discussions are great as well. However, that isnât what this podcast started as. I understand Father Martins only has so many exorcism stories and Iâm sure many of them he will not recount for various reasons. However, youâve begged your viewers for donations for practically a year and now the quality dropped. To add insult to injury youâve hidden content behind paywalls after a very successful fundraising campaign. Do I still listen to the podcast, yes. Do I still enjoy the content to an extent, also yes. Itâs just been disappointing lately especially for someone who has been around from the beginning.
-
IowaOsierInterviews nowSeason one had a few interview episodes but mostly dramatizations. Season 2 flopped⌠months between dramatizations which originally got me started with the show. They claim weekly content. The weekly content is a joke. Iâm pretty disappointed in this. They had a huge kickstarter campaign to put out a worse product. Note: Dramatizations is still 5 star material but not when it is months between.
-
Livak AliehsLivakExcellent teaching and discussions. I have learnt so much about my faith, and the importance of putting myself under the authority of Christ in every aspect of my life. Viva Christo Rey!
-
seaandsunsbAmazing!!!I love love love this Podcast and everything Iâm learning from Father Martins and the host of the show. Iâm a new convert to the Catholic Church, so this podcast has been so informative and inspiring for my spiritual journey. Iâve always been interested by the subject of demonic possession but a little scared to listen to anything about it because I wasnât sure if Iâd be getting accurate information. Well this is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you for this and please continue the amazing work youâre doing! God bless!
-
Kearney170Bring back the dramatizationsThese interviews are hard to listen to. Season one was fine because you only had a few. Now it seems like itâs 90% interviews, 5% commercials, and 5% dramatizations. Not a good season. Figure it out.
-
Punkrockprincess15Praying Next Season is BetterWe participated in the fundraiser and I have to say that I feel a little lied to. Season 2 is really its own thing that isnât what was advertised. Season 1 combined dramatizations of exorcisms but also had some spiritual discussion episodes. That was a nice balance and really made the bonus episodes feel like bonus episodes. Now all we have are âbonusâ episodes. I am a devout Catholic and I will keep following this show and I really hope season 3 gets back to what was actually advertised.
-
donutreply:(I had originally rated this podcast 5 stars. I backed the Kickstarter for a pretty penny as well. I absolutely loved this podcast and really looked forward to every episode, especially the guest interviews. What has killed my passion for this show is the Christian fearmongering. Calling other peopleâs deities âdemonsâ (I get thatâs the Catholic churchâs stance or whatever, but so disrespectful), promoting the idea that Dungeons & Dragons is a doorway to the demonic (get real! Itâs a doorway to pizza and good friendships), and espousing personal opinions on gender, abortion, and the like is just a massive turn off. And saying that same sex attraction leads to demonic activity? Well, guess Iâm getting possessed, even though thatâs the way God made me. Look, I get it; itâs a Christian podcast, but yâall do have non-Christian and non-Catholic listeners. (And spoiler alert: not all Christians are closed minded bigots! Got one right here on the other end of the screen.) Sure, you canât please everyone, but you also donât have to be actively offensive!

WomanOfTheNight7Carlos martinsWhat is the truth with Carlos Martins and the 13 year old child?
-
CraiggoryUsed to be greatUsed to be great with the audio dramas. Now itâs mostly just people talking. Disappointing, especially since I participated in the fundraiser they did.
-
LenoChallDidnât love itâŚDid not like the interview with Fr. Turboâlong rambling answers that had nothing to do with the questions he was asked. I had to fast forward. First interview I disliked.
-
JayLou1208Father TurboThis guy is insufferable. He has horrible takes with poor justification or reasoning behind it. What, his because Iâm not looking for god in some random song on my shuffle, Iâm looking for evil? đ do us all a favor, stop giving this guy a platform and get back to making dramatic episodes. You know, the real reason probably 99% of us are here.
-
Loor91Itâs become staleThe dad jokes are not funny, they feel forced and remove the tension from the show. The constant complaining about reviews is annoying. I enjoyed the show when it was what it was advertised as stories of exorcism, not interviews of close minded people who are afraid of everything that has to do with fantasy.
-
Emily AranaYou wonât be disappointed! This has been my go to podcast for the past few years and never ceases to amaze and teach me about the Catholic faith. Iâve shared it with my family and friends â theyâre obsessed with it too. Excellent quality and funny sometimes too!
-
platelet GrannyGod bless your workThank you all for your time and work. I learned a lot so far.
-
Brit L đЎThe exorcist files changed my life.Thank you so much for the knowledge and insight. Iâve spent my entire life a deep skeptic, and nearly rolled my eyes at anything religious. Many of us just want a sliver of proof and I think this podcast provides a step in the right direction when youâre on the fence.
-
BtzioSeason 2The first season was amazing! Season 2 feels more like a book promotion and interview podcast. It would be nice to get back to the roots of season 1. If they do this podcast deserves 5+ stars.
-
cecilebdementedYoga?!? Invites satan in?Hahahaha thatâs when I knew I was done. I enjoyed season 1, tried to like 2, but seriously the stuff that now is opening up one for demonic possession is just bonkers. Did you guys know that if you submit a negative review to this podcast you are making a mockery of god and inviting demons into your soul? I guess youâll hear about me in season 3.
-
Bella1628New Season Not As GoodSeason 1 was really great. I expected some theological dialogue as one of the hosts is a literal priest, but the new season sounds a lot like peopleâs opinions on theology, and less about stories of exorcisms. The UFO episode was bonkers. And the episode with the directors calling sage a new age phenomenon⌠sage is an important element for many Indigenous communities. Things feel like theyâre going off the rails here a little bit.

allieavaFantasticLove the show!

Droid kidsUpdated Review*current feelings* For the love of all things holy, bring us more exorcisms and less theology discussions. We get it. God is all-powerful, donât play with ouija boards, go touch a relic, etc I keep getting excited for the show releases and then itâs not the show, itâs a completely different theology talk show. Return to regularly scheduled programming please *first review* First of all, incredible podcast. I can tell the production takes time and donât expect you will be able to keep up regular episodes all year long. A lot of my favorite podcasts have âseasonsâ and then come back to posting weekly. If you have the episodes produced already, please just post them weekly on the same day, then take time off to produce. Just a suggestion, love your work, just hate the inconsistency.
-
JgbirvEntertaining5 stars because it is an entertaining podcast but also frequently unintentionally hilarious (e.g. KUNDALINI!!!! iykyk) and I find myself laughing out loud occasionally. Fr. Martins has some misunderstandings about science. And I would not call his theology scholarly. Often his stances make no sense. But the re-enactments are fun to listen to.
-
Laura GaleGood mix of theology and storiesThis podcast explains a lot about our world we live in. God bless the people who make the podcast!
-
MiryanLopI love this show!Thank you Ryan and Fr. Carlos for a wonderful show. I look forward to listen to every episode and shared them with my friends and family đđ˝
-
steve-chnGood!Phenomenal show!!!
-
Fair Lover HMMNot a fan of season 2Season 1 was very interesting and well done. Not loving season 2. Took a weird turn, and the UFO episode has gone off the deep end. Unfollowed when they started tossing alternate demon origin stories out there.
-
nicknamenick4545Christ with a side of spookyThe case studies are well produced and scary. Interesting and informative interviews. Really opens your eyes to the legality that the Lord built into the universe. Definitely might make you reflect on what ârightsâ you may have given away.
