MorganReedIncredibly helpfulThis podcast is an invaluable tool in one’s anti-racism journey. I especially appreciate Ms Mfuko’s teaching style of repeating phrases, concepts, or historical information that our American school systems whitewashed/omitted. Plus the call-to-action of taking 5 minutes after each episode to research a topic that was offered in the episode, which she introduces in the opening introduction and reminds us about again in closing the episode. High quality, generous, easy-to-comprehend teaching style. Brava and thank you for your exhaustive efforts to help wake us from our deeply ingrained and dangerous systemic white-supremacy-myth and racism. I appreciate your ever-generous efforts. You’re on the right side of history. Come aboard, my fellow wyt folks!

Cherry2104!The Time Is NowAll Americans have a responsibility to reflect on their genealogy, family dynamics, individual life in general, and identify how and where racism has been present. I have the perspective of a white woman whose family and ancestry comes from the South, and has a very complicated and clear involvement in American slavery. This year I wanted to make a commitment to doing genealogical research to find out more specific details on my own family’s participation in relationship to slavery specifically, and American history in general, with the intention of also taking responsibility as an individual for how I make amends in reparations for that in the present. I have found that this podcast in her content Instagram is a really helpful and blunt roadmap on my journey. I recommend that everybody find what works for them because the time is now to take action, wherever we fit into this larger story.
