This sounds like it should not work, but it does and it works very well. I did not know that I would enjoy following Gene Roddenberry’s evolution so much. I highly recommend this podcast for anyone who likes Star Trek, tv westerns or writing.

With so many Trek podcasts out there, it’s hard to find a fresh take on Trek’s roots and on Gene Roddenberry. This podcast definitely provides a different perspective on Gene’s work as the hosts provide a thoughtful review of his older works, with plenty of humor as well. This podcast also provides a really interesting view of how TV shows were commissioned, purchased, and made in the early days of the medium. This podcast is highly recommended.

Really fun and fascinating podcast for lovers of history, specifically the history of TV. Star Trek fans will especially enjoy it, but detailed knowledge of that franchise is not necessary to enjoy it.
