Great pod. Matt please for the love of god get coaching on your excessive use of the word “like”

Really not detailed and hard to listen to. Hard pass.

Sometimes very interesting, they don’t explain much of what they talk about so if you don’t have a finance background you’ll be lost a fair bit. Also are they financed by Bill Ackman? He is often gratuitously mentioned and always as “friend of the show”. Kind of a weird shout-out to year so much.

Far too many ads for a show of its length. Matt and Katie are great but the show should really cover topics not addressed by the newsletter.

New listener but likely won’t return. Nov 8th episode on pricing - Real Page, salary ranges, farmers markets - is uninformed. I was very surprised at the lack of analysis of the topic. Discussion was off the cuff, anecdotal versus based on theoretical and empirical research. The FTC Real Page investigation identifies an enforcement mechanism. Pretty clear from the hosts’ comments that they were commenting without reading the FTC report.

Matt is great and I would happily listen to him talk through more of his Money Stuff stories every week in podcast form. Sometimes the sound equalization between him and Katie is off (given their very different voice tones?) so it’s hard to hear him - would think that’s an easy fix. But as a woman - why does Katie have to come off as the dumb woman here? Seems she’s trying to sound ditzy and uninformed. The pico de gallo bit was hard to listen to, she doesn’t seem to have strong insights on ETFs which is supposed to be her thing.

Interesting and funny

Matt you should sound as clear as your partner. Often I lose the crux of the story because your always great thoughts are lost in a cacophony of sounds. Easy fix to make your podcast great.

Great podcast about money stuff

Money Stuff is fun as a podcast too. Only recommendation is to have more content that wasn’t covered before in the newsletter - either Q&A or stories from ”Things Happen”

- 1 star for (1) talking about ETFs all the time and (2) too many ads.

Finance and we get to see inside their brains for free!

Katie does a great job pulling out Matt’s analysis and opinions we all subscribe to his newsletter for. Could do with a bit less ETF talk.

I talk about the newsletter at every opportunity, and I’m so excited there’s an audio version. Katie is a surprisingly great foil for Matt—I’m very charmed by their dynamic. Sometimes my king kind of mumbles and almost seems to be talking away from the mic, so I have to change the volume constantly when I listen, but whatever, I love it. No one in the media seems to love their job the way Matt does.

However, in trying to keep it fast and short, feels like Matt starts to mumble. Obvious he is well-informed and knows his stuff and can explain clearly to the lay audience: slow down, my guru.

I’ve read the newsletter for years and was hoping the podcast would be more than a weekly rehash. It’s a good podcast if you don’t read the newsletter regularly and I’ll give it another month to get its footing. I’m surprised by the number of ads as a Bloomberg subscriber and was hoping this would go ad-free like Odd Lots. Odd Lots is a god-tier podcast and Money Stuff is a god-tier newsletter.

Another great podcast entry by Bloomberg. Better music than Odd Lots, too! 😉

I’ve been hoping for this for a while. I love money stuff but as parent of a newborn I don’t have time to read the long column.

This podcast is too silly. I was hoping to have an opportunity to learn from Matt Levine, not to listen to him try to make me laugh for 30 minutes.

Started reading Matt’s newsletter years ago and his knowledge is unsurpassed. Being in the industry I’ve learned more about finance then I ever did in college or reading books. This is the one baby!!

Matt Levine might be my favorite comedian/writer in America and I’m so unbelievably happy he’s doing audio. Please make it daily. I need more money stuff and pray for another Argentinian bond default or rise in subprime dog loans for you to talk about. Make footnotes great again!!
