Are You There Pod? It's Me, Dad

Are You There Pod? It's Me, Dad isn't a parenting podcast. It's more like a diary about becoming a parent...in real time. Every week host Alex Ward recaps the previous week's adventures in raising a new human. Along the way he calls up his fellow freshly-babied friends to swap stories & discoveries, all in hopes of keeping an intimate record that his future kid will surely not care about.

Love hearing a dad’s perspective on new parenthood
I am a mom of 4 and listen to “mom” podcasts and follow mom influencers and whatnot on social media but I love the genuine way that Alex speaks about being a new dad. His attitude toward everything is super humble and his descriptions about his wife and daughter are so sweet. Love hearing his other new dad friends talk too. I truly enjoy listening to this when I’m nap trapped with my 7 month old!

    Queen Walter
Thank you for the update about Queen Walter. I’m glad to hear she’s adapting. As a kid, I read Beverly Cleary’s “Socks” and sobbed when the title character’s new human sibling garners most of the attention in the family. So of course I’m rooting for Walter. Congratulations!

    Heartwarming
As a mom with older kids, it is sweet to hear the dad’s side of things in the early days. Alex’s take on new fatherhood makes me nostalgic, a tad resentful of dads (haha, y’all are great - but the mom side of this is so intense), and at times a little teary. Being a new parent is incredibly taxing, but it is the beginning of a whole new, beautiful chapter. Thanks for sharing that chapter with us!

    Little Kid Lover
Couldn't resist the Michael Scott dating website reference haha Love the new pod, as a new parent it's nice to hear people going thru similar situations and not having to feel alone in new parenthood. Keep up the good work my friend!

    Congratulations and love the pod
My wife and I are new moms and love the pod. We enjoy hearing all the different experiences and perspectives surrounding the new parent journey. So happy for you. If you need to take a hiatus from the MSPC, I will sort of understand. Also, I will use my last dying breath to tell people about the NoseFrida. It is a must.
