SuperShoeDivaMistakes are madeWhy would you play a song in the background of your introduction, a song with words?! You don’t need background music! Many introductions are too long, get on with it! Content is interesting and thank you for avoiding adding vintage ads.

iEvoTech2021History is wonderfulHave listened to this podcast for a long time and very much appreciate the history lesson with each session. Since these recordings happened before I was born, it is nice to know the details of the period. Sorry that new recordings have not been added for a while.

VivianMKAmazing old-fashioned radio dramas! This podcast is a MUSt for anyone with a love of old radio mysteries and dramas. Jim has clearly put so much love and research into this. I love the historical and background tidbits, and the behind-the-scenes information! This is my go-to show when I have insomnia. Engrossing and thoroughly entertaining!

LuvrOfInformationAn Absolute FaveI truly enjoy Jim's research and efforts about OTR! Just watch some of the long musical interludes!

OTR girlWell done!I have really enjoyed hearing the backstory on several shows I liked and even those that I wouldn't necessarily have chosen to listen to myself. Jim has a pleasant delivery and clearly has done more extensive research than the other OTR podcasters I've listened to. I particularly liked the series on the genesis of the detective genre. Thanks and keep up the good work.

richva23294Wonderful podcast; great show selection and background informationBeen a fan and listener of Mr. Widner's podcast for years. I like that he digs deeper to find adaptations of works from mystery writers and appearances of detectives that weren't necessarily regular radio series. The one-off episodes and rarities are part of what makes this series better than many other old time radio podcasts that give you so much of the same shows. And, as others have observed, the historical background and biographical information is well researched and delivered. It's always a treat when a new episode comes out!

mayhem9Professional podcast does justice to great radio dramaJim is clearly more than an old time radio enthusient. Each episode has some of the back story and some nice facts. Production quality suggests he is likely an audio engineer by profession. No one compares.

mlw50Great stuffI have to agree with all those who say this is a great podcast. Mr Widner gives some wonderful background! There are plenty of OTR podcasts, but this is the best, due mainly to the historical and background information provided.

swimgirl69Don't do it....Although there is a show rebroadcasted almost half of the download time is talking about the show's origin or other stuff. What a waste of my byte space! If I wanted history of nonsense, then this would be it. Don't waste your time or bytes on this podcast.

ScottFollandFirst-rate!Mr. Widner, Thanks for putting together such a well-researched gem of a look at a genre that has given so much to the mystery/suspense/crime dramas on our televisions and movie screens today. I look forward to the next podcast as soon as the one I'm listening to draws to a close. Keep up the good work!
