zmaskdjgekdfjGreat stuffA must if you’re a serious player
-
MustBTroubleLongtime fav losing veloEverything’s a faab review now. Used to have more stats discussion o& entertaining relevance of specific data in player Evans.
-
Chitown122Paul & Justin are solid and reliableSolid duo. Paul has that touch of a great host and Justin is as solid as they come
-
Danny Mac 25Just started listeningI’m intentionally avoiding knowing what Justin looks like so I can just picture Louis CK giving fantasy baseball information.
-
Commerial studEduardo Rodriguez in pod formReliable, consistent and entirely thanks to Paul Spore always strong presentation. However, this can also be a pretty dull pod at times - more of a read out (Paul asks leading questions, Mason responds) than a conversation that feels interesting or organic. Also, positional reviews were crazy late this year - hadn’t finished until the whole draft and hold season was finished.
-
WoobiesAudio is unevenUsually a good show but audio quality needs improvement. Carlos is barely audible in last episode

You'llThankMeLaterConstructive criticismBest fantasy baseball pod in the ecosphere. The Fangraphs website also used to reside on the top shelf, in my opinion, but it’s just another ad minefield now. If that was the ONLY way that the site could stay in existence…then by all means…you do what you gotta do. But if it was a greed-based decision to have every errant slip of the thumb send you off to some random ‘limited time offer’…then barf. I never understand why organizations soil their primary product for a short-term hedge. Maybe it was by necessity in this case, maybe not. Either way, it’s a shame that a better user experience lies just underneath the pockmark-eting, but most people won’t get to it.

jukeboy JimFun Podcast with Great ChemistryI only play fantasy for fun, so I don’t know how brilliant these guys are at analysis. All I can say, is that they provide a lot of useful information. Paul is great at always repeating who they are discussing, and the chemistry between the two is always entertaining and never cringe-worthy. Watching Justing rip darts on the YouTube feed was a nice surprise. I’ve tried other fantasy baseball podcasts, and this one is far and away the most fun to listen to, which is all that matters to me.

AnskyfanFangraphs Fantasy BaseballPaul and Justin really hit it out of the park! With lots of fantasy baseball options Sleeper is a stable.
-
Lefties are DeceptiveGreat data and insightNow starting my 24 prep for NFBC. Will be listening for new shows all winter. Great job making the data tell a solid narrative. Your chemistry is really cool.
-
Bob ShowerDownhillPodcast certainly has gone downhill in usefulness when Eno left, but it was only when Mason started sush-ing Paul when a sleeper was being discussed(as if he was mad a secret came out) that I decided to rate this a 1 star. If the hosts aren't dedicated to helping listeners because of their own leagues, I'm out! Bye

Klassen9256Down to earth fantasy adviceListening to this podcast makes me feel like I’m hanging with friends, drinking beer, and talking baseball. So many fantasy shows are too polished and analytical (you know who you are). That is great for a time and a place. But sometimes I just want to hear how everyday guys approach their own teams and what they see when they watch the games. The episodes go long enough that it’s more background entertainment than anything but that’s not a slight at all. It’s a great change of pace and I continue to come back to this pod time and time again.

whocares1112New edit:Edit: 1 star bc paul is the type of d****e who blocks ppl for literally no reason on youtube and from fb groups as described in the review below which i wrote a few yrs ago (now i know it was paul the crybaby who has demonstrated a pattern of this d****y behavior by recently doing something similar in the you tube chat of another podcast. Dont support this bad human being and i will continue to leave him bad reviews elsewhere for this behavior: "either paul or jason pathetically booted me from the pod’s boring fb group bc i stated the obvious — that ppl need to stop flooding the wall with their league-specific trade offers and asking for others’ opinions on the trade... this was a PATHETIC censorship move on the part of paul or jason, either of whom i could see doing that, knowing their overall personalities... -signed, a former fan who wont rest until i shout from the rooftops what tools paul and jason are as ppl. (i excluded justin from suspicion of doing this, bc i cant see him committing such a pathetic act, but CAN see paul or jason doing it)."
-
kwsb77paul sporer is a pathetic human being.1 star bc Paul Sporer is a tool and a whiny little baby who blocks ppl for the most inocuous things... was on the youtube feed for anither pod and paul sporer first acted like the complete tool that he is, then i wasnt even mad and instead tried engaging him instead of replying in kind, and like a little kid, he blocked me. so pathetic and just shows what a tool of a human being he is, which he routinely demonstrates with how he talks on this podcast, as well. i recall a few years ago either he or jason collette blocked me from their fb page for a similarly inocuous exchange, and now im convinced it was that pathetic weirdo paul sporer. congrats on earning the first of many 1-star reviews after making urself an enemy for no reason bc u habe pathetically-thin skin and a weird personality, paul.

Alan ReederVery informativeGood baseball analysis and varied opinions which is refreshing. Keep it up!

Swift->JonI like the changesEspecially ditching the 2 start SP-only episode for a more wide-ranging approach; hitting to all fields so to speak. But we could stand even more Paul/one more episode. Baseball has the most players & data possible but sometimes FB pods focus too much on fringe players. There are top 100 players doing interesting/bad things. I chalk this up to a subconscious bias from hosts, who seemingly all play in 17-team NFCZTLX leagues. Also baseball is the only fantasy game where hosts think everyone cares about their teams/leagues. 98% of the audience doesn’t need a 5 minute breakdown of the faab situation in NFBC leagues. Tell us what’s wrong with Julio instead. Last suggestion: Justin either needs a new mic or to sit back a scooch or modulate his input volume; he’s usually distorted or overdriven. All that said, I like the show!
-
LoogyListenerGreat showThe only thing that would make it better is if you got Sporer a new computer and microphone. It can be brutal when it is on the fritz.

TheRed9Disappointing for fangraphs2023 update: remains the same quality. The April 7 episode has some pretty bad takes including critiques of Atlanta for not stating Murphy at DH, suggesting Corbin Burnes isn’t a must start pitcher after two slow games, suggesting starters sit vs Hou despite Altuve and Yordan injuries making them a far more tame offense, and recommending not picking up Heaney in a 15 team league bc of his one bad start. Incredibly reactionary, and frankly pretty bad advice. I’m moving on from this one. The bold prediction that Mookie finishes outside the top 20 OF because he hasn’t seen NL pitching as much is dumb enough to make me unsubscribe. I don’t have a problem with hot bold predictions, but that logic is just so out of whack. I expect fangraphs to be better- if that’s your argument, what’s your data on Mookie first time facing a pitcher to support it? Started listening for hard analysis, but this pod has gotten too soft. Still better than ESPN’s though.

Fantasy ShmuckKuhlestMy favorite fantasy podcast. And I’m an obsessive player and pod listener. They come across as real. Sporer is my spirit franimal. Mason is just a baseball beast. Their voices are pleasant. Their attitude is so chill. They don’t come across as know-it-alls. I get excited when the new pods come out. In a long season, they are my buddies. Sad writing that but true.
-
Mtayl03👍Great Podcast Especially like AL/NL split as I am in an NL only league. Would also help identifying team a play is on for some of the more obscure.
-
thetoddmonPaul Sporer brings me joyOutside of the great analysis, one small detail that is greatly appreciated by me is when Paul reiterates the name of the player they are discussing. I'm often doing other things while listening to the pod and not having to constantly rewind to keep up with the discussion is awesome.

aspielzBest baseball podcast out there5 stars and you don’t want to ever miss out!

LynchM20Great showGreat job guys. Everything is great. (except the sound quality.) poor sound quality. Sounds like a couple of kids in their parents’ garage making a podcast on a borrowed laptop. The content is first class though.
-
Katman P50It’s clear these are GOOD peopleLove the content, but if you listen between the lines, it’s crystal clear these are quality human beings. Maybe that doesn’t mean as much to everyone searching for fantasy baseball advice, but if I can get good advice from people making a difference with their lives then it’s a win-win. Keep leaving people better than you found them guys, both in and out of the fantasy baseball world.

Bruno in TucsonPodcast reviewGreat info and insights from the industry's stat-super-geeks. Interesting predictions and sleeper targets backed up by deep numbers. Episodes progress well. Banter is pleasant, as these guys are well informed and likable. Keep up the good work. One thing: Sometimes the audio sounds like an OCD afflicted shart. Polish your fundamentals. ✌🏻

bleepbloop31Just AwesomeRevising my previous review…. Paul is the GOAT and we all know this. I rewrote this review because I want to give Justin some recognition. I think he has grown so much in a short amount of time and has become an incredibly insightful, entertaining, and relatable fantasy analyst. Very much enjoy his work and his rapport with Paul. Also, really appreciate that you guys have made an effort this year to cater to shallower leagues along with 15 teamers. I only play in 12s and I find it super helpful. Keep up the awesome work!

rcarll1337Fix Pauls soundGreat show. But too many shows lately with Pauls sound on the fritz.

TJohn08My ears are bleedingLet me just say I only attempted to listen to 1 episode from Tues 3-15-2022. So this could be too quick to judge. My commute to work is 20min. I just listened to the first 17min of the podcast which consisted SOLELY of where Nelson Cruz should be drafted and how hot Matt Olson is. Yes, you read that correctly…as in how attractive Matt Olson is. Im hard pressed to think of better ways I could have wasted 17 min better than this. I will still give 2 stars because Im not a complete ahole.
-
jthewolfeKilling methese guys are really good when they talk about players but this pod really suffers from a common feature of fantasy baseball pods- the hosts spending inordinate amounts of time talking about their drafts in experts leagues and talking about what other experts (usually other podcasters)did in their drafts. No one cares guys. 90% of your audience doesn’t play in tout or labr and probably most of them don’t even play roto. The obsession with getting steals and saves is silly and really detracts from talking about baseball. Please fix it
-
molsonjazzAwesome, detailed analysisThanks guys, for a consistently terrific podcast.
-
KG513513I still love itGreat show we can count on annually. For those who complain about politics on fantasy baseball podcast, then trash Justin, he’s one of the rare conservatives in the business, FYI.

joemac63zWhen will we see youtube videos?Great podcasts how about youtube videos??

dmbbmartinPaul knowledge grown exponentially.Great podcast, full of very help knowledge for fantasy players. Have been listening for year, and have watched Paul grow from a good analyst to a great one. Congrats to all.

SRL_JudI’m ready for the seasonWhat a great pod. It has given me so much info. I’m ready for the season.

dscott509Matt WilliamsPaul 5 stars. Matt -5.
-
GialdeFantastic!Deep dive into fantasy baseball from Paul and Justin, who are high stakes players and industry experts. The pods are organized, extremely deep and catch you up on the current landscape of fantasy baseball. Great humor and real talk. I’m fairly certain this pod is on the short list for most serious players.
-
BullVader22Bring back Eno!Show is good, Sporer is great, Mason is unlistenable. 5 stars for content and Sporer, -2 for the co-host. Find a replacement and take this thing next level
-
LarpathianOne of the best baseball pods around.Bar none, it's a fantastic pod. Great work guys!
-
Tomi Lahren 2020Done with this PodIt used to be real good when Eno was on but has gone downhill since. Not a fan of Justin and Paul is an egotistical douche. Whatever little fame he has in the fantasy baseball community has gone to his head.

Dmojr29Whiny, low information, lost their wayThis was a great pod years ago. Over the years it’s slowly slipped into an immature (69 nice), owners are evil, virtue signaling, generic pod. Lack of a consistent schedule doesn’t help either. Paul seems to care more for his fake career as a streamer than being balls deep in fantasy and sticking to delivering quality information. Mason to his credit is still all about that fantasy game and information but you can tell he’s even being pulled into nonsense conversation and takes. Jason is just not good anymore. Hang em up.
-
RussellHWSenior Statesman podBeen listening to this pod so long I can still hear the old music. Remains a great pod. Staple in the rotation.
-
Mikeyp72Great PodcastI love this podcast mostly of how deep Sporer, Mason and Collette go into rankings/rosters. Most pods cover the regular, everyday players. But I play in a lot of deep leagues. These guys go deep into the player pool to help uncover diamonds at the back end of rosters, which to me is very helpful. Keep up the good work guys.

rsands9The best!Oh the agony. Last season there was a contest for best fantasy baseball podcast. The finals came down to my two favorites in the fantasy industry…this one, and Nick Pollock’s show at Pitcher List. How do you choose between these two excellent podcasts? Well, let me just say, you can not go wrong listening to every episode of this show hosted by the tremendous Paul Sporer with one of the fantasy industry’s main men and good guys, Justin Mason plus other knowledgable guests. It’s not only entertaining, and it’s also informative. What more can you ask for? And as a final note, let me just add, it’s not some way out there “what does that metric even mean?” kind of show…it’s down to earth and ready to help you win your league. I’m giving this show five stars and highly recommend you listen to it for yourself.
