Since I was a little girl, my love for all things Henson has always been there, but I had never seen The Dark Crystal. I always knew it was there but it was AOR that brought the whole universe of The Dark Crystal to light for me. It awoke something inside me that has been longing to be nurtured, and pretty much simultaneously I discovered this WONDERFUL podcast! It was a synchronicity I couldn’t ignore, and now Trial By Stone is a staple in my life. The hosts are the most humble, down to earth people. Not only are they super genuine, they are also super knowledgeable. They have AMAZING special guests and I love listening to all the different perspectives. And in my opinion, the little bow that ties it all together is the soothing but upbeat voice of the main host, Phillip. This is a def podcast that I hope never goes away. Keep up the great work y’all!

I do love this podcast When I first saw the show I fell for the chamberlain 🤦🏼❤️ the legends of thra episode three is hilarious when I saw the chamberlain stripped I had some thoughts. People think I’m gross for the chamberlains Beauty😑 Love this podcast keep going!

Social/Political alignment and promotional messages are increasingly being infused and now being featured. I plugged in hoping for a trip to Thra and ended up with more of the messaging I was expecting to take a break from.

I’m usually not one for commentary podcasts, but I just love The Dark Crystal so much and this podcast has so many amazing things in it, I just can’t stop listening!!! I definitely recommend it to any and all Dark Crystal fans!

This podcast is great from the first episode and so are all the following. From interviewing legendary artists who worked on the film, to talking about Jim Henson, to examining the books and emerging fandom this podcast investigates everything.

From pleasant suprise to amazing podcast.. I didn't expect to find any podcast dedilcated solely to The Dark Crystal so finding it was a very pleasant suprise. After listening to the first couple episodes that included interview tidbits that I could only find here, I was hooked. You are doing a great job and service and look forward to listen and relisten to the next 20 something episodes on my commute. A joy and highly recommended to any hardcore fan of the Crystal or for casual fans who enjoy the craft and artist interviews behind the movie. Keep them coming! Matt

Some podcasts struggle to get off the ground, but this one starts really strong and stays that way. Philip is acting as a bit of a historian, talking to various artists that have contributed to the Dark Crystal and its legacy. It’s rich material he’s mining, and I hope he keeps it up for a while!

Philip did such a great job with kicking off what I hope will be a long-lived series. He interviews the author quest winner J M Lee and they both share such a great sense of wonder and love for the film. Listening to this episode reminded me of being a child again completely captivated as I watched the Dark Crystal for the first time... and then successively a few hundred more times. :)
