I thought at first it was an AI voice but hearing him interact with the guests made me realize this is what he chose as his podcast host voice. It is very bizarre. It reminded me of like an AI interpretation of Casey Kasem… went to the reviews to make sure I’m not the only one who finds the way he speaks extremely off-putting and found this review that sums it up perfectly: “Weird robot voice, but still Зу аgo Jessie Jo1980 Is really hard to get past the phoney exaggerated radio host voice.. it's as if someone forced Al to listen to 100 hours of Casey Kasem and then gave him a radio show and told it to only talk about dogman. It's really awkward. I suspect some autism is involved because otherwise he would know that he sometimes sounds condescending like a creepy uncle that hugs you just a little too long. That said, the guests do a good job telling their stories so that's entertaining.”

I had never heard of dogman until I found this podcast. I thought the idea was ridiculous. Then I listened. And listened. I’m still listening. Vic is a unique host who knows this subject thoroughly but admits what he isn’t sure about too. People who think it’s fake and that people are “making their stories up as they go along” aren’t very good at reading people. These experiences are authentic. The interviewees are ordinary people who know their stories deeply. No one has anything to gain by sharing their story publicly. Most people don’t believe in cryptids, so they’re taking a real risk. A message to people whining about the commercials: Please grow up. You can support the show for a few bucks per month and download commercial-free episodes.

Been fascinated with Bigfoot & Dogman considering there are platforms where so many eyewitnesses can come forward without being ridiculed, harassed. Vic does an excellent job allowing encounters to flow while offering explanations, explaining facts/evidence. The topic will always draw critics,skepticism however there are just way too many sightings, hundreds coming forward left shaken to the core, traumatized, confused & in desperate need of attention & a voice. I have never seen one and I don’t want to unless it runs upright across the road while I’m in my car. The witnesses on this podcast seem just as sincere as Bigfoot witnesses.

I learned about this podcast by listening to Vic’s interview on Bigfoot crossroads a couple months ago. I’ve been binging it ever sense! I’ve never encountered a Dogman or a Bigfoot however I am very opened minded and enjoy learning about paranormal and things of mystery such as cryptids. The closest I’ve ever gotten to anything odd, is hitting a 4 foot owl years ago that was standing in front of a dark two lane road. I could see him over my hood when I clipped him and remember looking in my rearview mirror seeing it wobble around dazed lol. I’ve recently found out that there’s “no such thing”. So I’m open minded and believe that these creatures most likely are out there. I think Vic not only provides a great show for entertainment, but also offers an eye opening glimpse into the world we live in, along with providing a safe space for those who are troubled by their encounters. The guests sound like they are making up the stories as they go along. That fact and the fact that the content is interesting,but not worth the ungodly amount of commercials make this show unlistenable. As much ads as content.

Hearing people talk about their dogman encounters is fascinating and informative. Vic is a great host, thoroughly investigating and clarifying each story. I highly recommend this show to anyone interested in dogmen.

I feel bad for poor Vic. The quality of guest has fallen so badly that all we get now are attention hungry liars with a screw loose. They aren’t even trying. The last yahoo’s story,(one of many, apparently Dogmen are as common as chipmunks where he lives,) amounted to - I was inside. I went outside. I saw a Dogman. This dullard also had a maddeningly irritating habit of pronouncing the word silhouette as “sil you et.” I don’t know if Dogmen are real or not. But at least I’ve been absolutely sure that Vic’s guests of years past believed they were. That is no longer the case.

Nightmares, nightmares, nightmares

I really wanted to like this podcast. Great guests and the stories are eye opening. The worst part for me and the part that makes it hard to listen to is the hosts 80’s game show host way of speaking. Seems insanely fake and forced. Insanely cringy and comes very gimmicky. If you can get past that definitely worth a listen.

I started at episode 1 and I’m working my way through. Ignore the whiny idiots saying “fake”. Ignorance is bliss for those simpletons!

Some episodes are GREAT, some episodes are “meh”, and these two types battle each other for dominance. Aside from making sure every story rings true, there seems to be no criteria for the selection of experiences (which are narrated by those who experienced it, as they should be and, for the most part, they talk without interruption — by the way, I don’t hear ads at all, which is a big issue for many; I download the episode to my device and listen with an app called Audipo, in case that helps), and my suggestion would be to only have GREAT stories on the show. The less engrossing tales act like fillers or B-side tracks and detract a lot from the podcast in general. In fact, each episode should come with a rating because, dear God, number 440, narrated by “Mary”, was uncharacteristically and insurmountably dull. No, seriously. I could hardly believe how bad it was and kept telling myself to wait for it, that at any moment the amazing part would begin, but it never freaking did. Nothing upon nothing upon nothing. I wanted to scream at her to shut up shut up SHUT UP! Yet she continued unabated with a painful narration style, staying resolutely and annoyingly pointless throughout her yawn-inducing drawn-out tale of mental embellishments built upon the most unexciting of happenings (she tells us what time it was, what she and her husband were wearing, what they were thinking, their comments, whether their backs were hurting, Jesus H Christ, just EVERYTHING imaginable told in the most excruciatingly boring detail). I was even tempted to unsubscribe. It was that bad. Spare yourself the agony. I already went through it for you. Lastly, I also wish Vic would speak like a normal person. I realize he’s trying to create branding by speaking in a particular way but it comes across as an affectation and it is pure cringe. So, along with only having great stories on, the show would benefit from him talking like a regular human being.

I don’t begrudge anyone for making a few bucks from advertising revenue, but the ads make the show unlistenable. They destroy the momentum, are absurdly loud and obnoxious, and repeat several times in succession. I get airing ads and all, but there has to be a better alternative to what’s happening presently. Multiple reviewers have stated this. It’s a shame because the podcast is pretty good otherwise. If the ads are resulting in poor reviews and a drop in listenership though, something is seriously wrong and needs to be corrected. And, if the ads are turning listeners off to the podcast, theres little to no chance for a sales conversion off them and the whole thing becomes pointless anyway. It takes a lot of work to cultivate an audience but its pretty clear that the ads aren’t helping you keep them.

This could be a fan fave of mine but the way the stories are constantly interrupted by long commercials is a total turn off. Not really a fan of the guy’s voice either. Almost like an OTT obnoxious radio host. Would be much better if he just talked and didn’t try to make his voice go in all the different directions.

The ads are terribly placed. They come out of nowhere and surprise you for no reason. Why?

So many ads - it totally ruins the flow and spoils the mood of the story. This used to be a better podcast.

I love listening to this show with every new episode that comes on. My only hate is the commercials in languages other than English. No way to change them to English. It’s bad enough having commercials but in another language is horrible!

Love the show! The interviewees and their stories are interesting, insightful, and clearly some amazing stories. I am having some issues at the moment where I cannot get the episodes to play & the app is saying they are not available & to try again later. Otherwise, looking forward to each new episode!

I love the old stories and have listened to almost all of them but for the past several months it’s hard to get through the new ones. All the constant adds don’t help either especially the political ones.

I enjoy the show, it’s entertaining. But I will not continue to listen if I have to listen to political ads every ten minutes. Such as the Stacy Abrams ads.

The flow of the show is slow. The hosts voice makes it are to listen to. Went in with high hopes but I couldn’t handle it

I love Dogman encounters and I love to listen to Vic Cundiff…BUTThe advertisements and commercials are hideous they interrupt and play the same commercial over and over again right after they’ve already played to the point that you can’t listen to the episode it’s just too much!! Sorry for the bad review Vic please do something about so many commercials… I know they help pay the bills but they’re ruining the episodes. I don’t mind some commercials but the way these are set up it’s hideous as I said and it’s impossible to even listen to the episode. Best
