JCMCCRAYLet the other guys speakLove this podcast but my goodness let your team finish talking! Wow! The carnivore episode was a prime example!
-
ElbanditojoaquinHas potential90% of this podcast is Brian talking over the guests about how cool he is. There are better hunting podcasts with real information out there.
-
James3745So much information! It’s dang near overwhelming how much information I on the podcasts. I’ve started with number one and work g my way through! I listen to 2-3 a day 5 days a week. Keep up the good work and stay gritty!

WiscobowGrittyGuys thank you hands down best podcast out there! I thank you for explaining everything from what you use and how and why to how you hunt. Listening to you on my drive to work and home there is only one thing better watching your videos. I’m hooked thank you for what you do and how you break it down.
-
AlabamacrabInspirationKinda late to the party, but listening to your podcast and watching the YouTube videos has lit a fire in me. Not only to really give backcountry hunting a try, but also in my fitness and overall health. Being from the southeast there’s not alot of chance at it. Working and traveling for a company from the northwest has given me that opportunity. Now I can’t get enough of it. I kinda hang on to each new episode. Great work, and thank you.

sholdenCPAGritty is The WayThe Gritty men have a straightforward style that should get you motivated! Great variety of guests and content also!

Dannyjtorres39Favorite podcastAlways informative, entertaining, and easy to listen to.The gritty podcast is without a doubt my favorite!

Eric7298Great Content. Let your Guest TalkI tuned into the Brady Miller episode about tag applications and getting your tags. It was very informative but I really wanted to hear Brady talk a lot more. The host did a lot of talking and Brady did a lot of listening which seems counterintuitive to what is supposed to be happening when you tune in to listen to a specific guest. Ask more questions, a few more listening, and it’s a five star.

Perdido pero contentoLove your show, struggle with your politicsStraight dude, happily married here. From my point of view pride month is an essential part of the journey towards extending freedom to my queer friends. Can’t wait for a day when all Americans see sexual freedom for adults as an integral part of the American dream.

finnyhkiwiUpped my bear gameGreat content, practical. Really upped my bear game and enjoyment of the meat.

Elk ShankAppreciation, but hopeFor the most part, love the content of the podcast. It’s real and inspiring. I don’t need or want a long series of book review btw. If you recommend a book, fine, but don’t review it. The video content on YouTube is second to none—doesn’t matter the species. But the podcasts frustrate me because the content is overall solid, but Brian constantly interrupting guests with his “knowledge” is extremely frustrating. Let them talk. Let Brad talk. The interrupting by Brian has honestly been worse since Brad joined the team. Not because of Brad. Brad tries to talk and immediately gets interrupted. I appreciate the grind and the work that goes into it, but you have guests on for a reason—to let THEM talk. You brought Brad on for a reason—let HIM talk. Let his knowledge help you grow. We’ve heard your story. Let others tell their story.

HoghvenStay GrittySome men can. Some men can’t. Brian has a knack for building grit up in us all. Thanks Buddy.

JM.IL.HunterBrad H Drinking Game: YepTake a drink every time Brad says ‘yep’ to provide color commentary to Brian. Ha! Good show guys, enjoy the content.
-
sazguashThanksYour outfit rides for the brand. Your from the west I hope you get that comment. Your YouTube show and podcast is great even the book reading. Moved to Alaska and had a great year going into the field. One of my griz hunts I had your cover song in my head. Keep up the great work. And love your gear testing

Tanmansuperman🤝Loved river of doubt, happy to see more book podcasts! You guys are studs.
-
NdjskssksksjdndnLack of contentHow do you know these guys have nothing to talk about? 12 podcasts (and counting) on a book that I could read myself. Stick to hunting content and for gods sake posting all of the links to your affiliates really shows us how skewed you are by money, shows that all of your opinions are paid for and fake. ✌🏼
-
simpsonwyo🤙🏽Love most the people you bring on! I feel it’s informational to a lot of mondern hunters and just the new! Did find about every 30 seconds Brian you do cut every guest off a lot! Let em preach! 💪🏼
-
JAHoneymanLove this podcastSo, so good. Love it.

coltertherontaylorGritty Man!Brian Call is the man that has inspired me to work toward my dreams. He is such an inspiration! I have learned so much in depth hunting tips from Gritty!

@jasone5228RecoveryThanks for sharing your experience with your sickness. I also went through a nasty bout of the “rona” the month of September. Thanks for sharing with us, listening to this really helped me.
-
JONESMACHINE8Majoring on the majorThank you so much for sharing your health recovery story and all the family dynamics that you had to process and make decisions on. Appreciate the unifying aspects of your journey and the perspective you gained. As someone who experienced a heart transplant and had to deal with the loss of life, of health, and my own well being physically your comments about what really matters in life and the relationships you have with family taking precedence particularly struck home very meaningfully and soberly. It was gold to hear you compare the enjoyment of hunting and adventure (paraphrasing) to what it’s like when you can’t do those things and your life gets turned upside down. The way you processed and expressed weighing your value system compared with your family relationships and parenting choices was a very important message for the diehard hunting community to hear. Was a refreshing take to the gravity that our obsession with the outdoors sometimes unhealthily dominates. Much love, respect, and blessings to you and yours! That’s how you stay Gritty!

Tex645Gritty like sand in your teethListening to gritty is obnoxious. He does not offer new information anymore. Brian will interrupt his guests to prove that he can keep up with them or how much better he is in a specific area than they are. The rest of his pod casts are just infomercials. It usually starts with I used to use *whatever product* but I’m not someone who takes money and use whatever I want. Now I’m using this *product*. It has nothing to do with the fact I can make money of this group and get free product, but I just to happen to be using this product to get free produce and maybe a chance at profiting from them.

dlmjem659First you get a citation for no permit to video now you are telling us about a crime you committed while hunting in 2016. The only reason you are telling us now is because apparently you pled to the charge and have been sentenced to pay fines and restitution and now you are trying to save your business / podcast. Anyone who listens to your bumbling attempt to tell this “ story “ which is exactly what it is ( a story ) can tell that you are telling a big lie! What a bunch of horse crap! You the “ professional hunter “ didn’t know the tag was called a reduced bear tag! Blame it on the Walmart employee! You didn’t think you hit the wolf! You didn’t go look ( right ) and on and on… It’s too bad Idaho still allows you to hunt in there state! You give us all a bad name! Anyone who has any connection to you or your podcast needs to separate themselves from you! Sponsors, other hunters, who are not convicted game violation criminals etc. Wow 👎🏻
-
trailheadtotoeYou’re a good guy Brian.Thank you Brian. Keep up the great work. We all screw up from time to time. Keep hammering. You’ve got my support. 👊🏼
-
Cheesehead007Great in like 2015Gritty has gone downhill and is now basically infomercials and circle jerking industry guys. Brian rides the moral edge, having gotten in trouble with the law for illegal filming and now illegal tagging of a wolf. His friends like Greentree are cut from the same cloth.
-
@natedogg_86RestitutionThanks for sharing Brian. None of us are perfect. Thanks for being real and honest. Keep up the work you do
-
1blueJay1beetles and conifersInteresting and informative discussion. Took notes as we have pine and xmas trees in the midst of such beetle invasions, although no elk coming through my yard as of late! Thanks for the show!
-
AU-BENBrian knows his stuffFun to listen to him. #1 He knows his gear and stuff he likes to use. #2 he keeps the language clean for 99% of the time. #3 I like how he has carved out his own “niche” in the industry, backcountry gritty style hunts and all the things that surround those hunts. I love watching them and listening to the content on the podcast as well.
-
prioritiesincludeUnsubscribeThis guy is so hard to listen to. Subscribe if you want to hear someone brag about themselves and name drop for an hour.
-
bkolowski111UnsubscribeBrian is constantly interrupting his guests and going on diatribes about how much weight he can carry. If you can get past his arrogance, there’s some good info here, but it’s just nauseating to listen to. I’m a long time listener but I’m moving on.
-
WYN8tiveSold out!Brian Call is one of those guys who’s only in it for the money, he changes up everything he does when he can figure out a way to snake more money he use to be gritty bowman but when non bow hunting companies wanted to sponsor him he changed his name, we all seen the e-mail to Aron Snyder from Brian asking for like 25k from Aron for basically nothing, and now he’s trying to feed everyone this B.S. about hating censorship and wanting more freedom because he realized he can make money to charge everyone now to listen and watch his content! He needed an angle to switch over to charging for his content without seeming like a sellout but he’s not fooling anybody! This guy would sell his own mother for money.
-
James BohiGritty PodcastHave listened to multiple episodes and definitely enjoy your content. From being in Oklahoma and going west to hunt every year for bear and elk I have found your show extremely helpful from the content and the guest speakers and also enjoy your gear promo codes that have helped a ton. Hope you and Ryan keep filming more great hunts. I hope to make it to the western hunting summit next year.
-
robj613Learn so muchThank you for your podcast. I learn a lot and appreciate your gear reviews and the insight you and Ryan provide. I honestly don’t get the negative reviews. Your moral and ethical standard is crystal clear. Your respect for other hunter representatives like Rinella or Newberg is well stated. Granted I had enough of the film permit rants but could understand your frustration lol. Keep doing what you do! It’s great!
-
SleepyHenryPigRude HostThe host constantly interrupts guests. I found him incredibly rude and very into himself. I wish he’d just let his guest finish a dang sentence!!
-
Grandpa MossCreditable OpinionBrain, I’ve been listening to all your new podcasts, and I even gone back and listened to some old favorites. I find your content very informative, engaging, and entertaining. I value your opinion on how to hunt, on equipment, and health. I love getting different views on topics, like archery etc. I listen to and watch a lot of hunting content, and I enjoy hearing how and why you do the things you do, it has helped me become a better archer, and hunter. Thank you for providing this information and entertainment, you are crushing it! Thanks, Scott

Sheepdog5749EP. 611 Deseret ReferenceCool to hear you mention Deseret, I used to cowboy for them. My son did his internship for Chip at Rex Ranch in Nebraska. Keep up the good work, I’m learning new things with every Podcast.
-
@LFC911Film PermitsLove the show and wish there was some way to see the elk hunts the forest services are prohibiting. How do the other YouTube content providers do their film permits? I see Randy N. Won’t cross a ridge line because he doesn’t have a permit for that area but the BRO crew or Dan with Elk Shape will drive hours to new country without blinking an eye. Have they thought that far ahead to file those permits or just haven’t got busted?

campbellRanchEP. 603 , great adviceYour podcast comes at the perfect time for me . I'm headed out tomorrow with my three boys on the last three days of a late muzzleloader bull elk hunt. It's been tough to keep focused and grind . Great timing for us! Keep up the the great content! Fellow Sportsman, Paul from Idaho.

rls33Love the podcastThanks for providing great content.
-
rodburner31Great Insight.I’ve been listening to this podcast for several months now. What I’ve heard, and learned from his gear breakdowns to the guests he’s had on has been a “game changer”. No pun intended. Being completely late to the hunting scene, this type of information helps us old guys kinda catch up. Appreciate all the work you and Brent put into making this podcast and YouTube channel.
-
Jason BlauchWho is Brent and why is he on the cast? This podcast sometimes has good info - especially earlier episodes - but has become a lot of bantering and less information. And, by the way, who is Brent?! Why is he on the show?! The guy adds nothing and only derails the conversation. The attempt to retell Teddy Roosevelt’s story is like a couple of monkeys trying to F*** a football. Ditch the sidekick.
-
afdfd1234Let’s get back to huntingDear Brian, I can appreciate your willingness to convey some wisdom on different topics on your podcast, however, I listen to your podcast to learn how to be a better hunter. I understand that some of this translates in to the hunting world but I I really look forward to your podcast for hunting specifically. Just simply my opinion as a consistent listener of the show. Thanks for all the content! I’m still leaving 5 stars because I don’t want to give the podcast a bad review!
-
KburgertUsed to be betterI used to love the Gritty Bowmen podcast but it has gone downhill. Now, the topics seem to be one of the following: commercial for a product, reading passages from books, and and whining about things like how he shouldn’t be judged for being white. Occasionally a hunting topic will surface but sometimes it’s hard to pick those out considering the show notes don’t say anything about the content of the episode.
