Alex Smith is in my pantheon of truly heroic Super hard-working, and highly professional journalists that includes Amy Goodman of democracy now and the staff of my beautiful local public radio station KgnuIn Boulder Colorado.His non-pedantic style, excellent highly informative guests and deep commitment to a beautiful livable world without illusions about where we really are is just what is needed today!

I’ve listen to many climate podcasts and this one has kept me educated and interested for years! Highly recommended!

Alex Smith’s Radio Ecoshock is critical listening for anyone who wants to understand the multiple crisis we face.

This is an informative podcast, but it dances around the biggest contributor of a warming planet. The military’s of everything, and the constant war. Also, does not extol the virtues of riding public transport.

Whether it is through inaction caused by political decisions or technological limitations, the views of these two scientists is way off base. There is already more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that won’t have its impact felt to climate for next 40 years. Unlimited growth on a finite planet is not possible and I don’t see the capitalist system being overthrown in the next five years. We will likely see the disappearance of arctic ice in the next decade if not sooner. And my understanding is that if Arctic I’ve disappears, then human civilization also disappears in short order.

With corporate media failing us on climate coverage, shows like Radio Ecoshock are necessary. Alex’s guests range from award-winning climate journalists to peer-reviewed scientists. No sugar-coating here. The truth can be scary, but we need to hear it. Greta Thunberg would approve!

Definitely the best, most relevant climate podcast I’ve ever found
