John is so knowledgeable. Especially loved his interview with Kelsey Grammer.

First let me thank John Holl and all the other contributors for pod casts as this has been one of the many things that has helped me to maintain a level of sanity during this difficult time we’re all going thru. Then I’d like to express how much I liked hearing the most recent podcast (episode 83 from Zillcoah Brewing in Asheville NC). This episode was fantastic hearing from a small brewing in one of the largest beer towns/cities in the country and how they worked thru this weird time and keep doing what they do best. It was also great to hear the wind blowing thru the mic as it made Zillcoah sound even more like a place I can wait to visit on my next trip to Asheville. Keep up the good work John and all those you work with (even Mr. Carton who seems to know everything about everything).

This is a great podcast if you want to understand what’s under the hood of you favorite brewery and the American beer scene. John is a masterful interviewer with a curious mind that brings out the best insights, stories, and sidebars from his guests.

I’ve been listening to John for years on his other podcast Steal This Beer and I’m beyond happy to add this one into the mix. John is arguably the best beer journalist on the planet. He brings a really down to earth personality to his interviews and makes you appreciate all the aspects of this industry. Must listen if you’re a fan of craft beer and all that it includes.

I listen to John Holl on this podcast, Steal this Beer and when he appears with Andy on Beer Edge. I appreciate his gentle and thoughtful style and I feel like I always get a chance to learn something from interesting people. For less buttoned-down John, listen to Steal This Beer, but I’m happy to listen to both.

Drink Beer Think Beer is an interesting podcast with thoughtful questions for guests where the guests are given plenty of time to respond. Good format plus great questions equals a must-listen podcast.

Great show with interesting guests

The conversations on beer are pretty surface level. No details on brewing process. My biggest knock on the show is the sound quality though. I’m constantly adjusting the volume so my ears don’t bleed or it’s not a whisper. The worst is when the guest is at a different level from the host.

An informative and personable podcast that digs deep into the philosophies of beer industry professionals. Keep up the good work John!

John Holl is one the best voices in the world of beer so it shouldn’t come as a shock that this podcast is informative, entertaining and just plain good.

It could only be better if somehow my phone dispensed beer during this podcast. Keep it flowing, brother!

John is one of my favorite beer people. He asks thought provoking questions and enjoys talking beer with some of the best in the industry. This is a nice refresh from the other podcast he’s on, Steal This Beer, which is great in its own right. But Drink Beer, Think Beer is exactly the podcast for anyone that likes to think about all aspects of the industry. Thanks John. Keep up the great works. Cheers.

We would share a great pint, or two, and have a wonderful conversation seasoned with laughter and cheer! I had missed John’s voice on another podcast I had grown accustomed to hearing him every other week, so I started to wonder what may have happened. I quickly discovered this new podcast he hosts and couldn’t be happier to add it to my repertoire. John is engaging, courteous, respectful, and extremely knowledgeable. He brings his good nature to every interview and I always want to look up more about who he’s interviewing. Cheers to many more episodes!

John gets the very best out his beerleberities with questions that get the most out of guests. Listen and you hear his guests enthusiasm grow. A quick 50 minutes!

Great to have John back on his own/ solo podcast format. Still funny not having Augie Carton interrupt him ever 2 minutes! Honest and in-depth beer industry coverage with through provoking questions, a must listen!

Great beer podcast that hits all of the important info without diving too deeply into the nitty-gritty brewing details, like Final gravity, that I am not into. It covers the beers, the brewers, and the breweries and the roads they took to get there. On the first episode you asked for guest suggestions, and my two would be Rob Tod and Augie Carton(who could provide details of the different concepts he takes vs other brewers, is it just to be different or something else?) Great podcast and I look forward to future episodes!

Its a pleasure to listen to john without augie cutting him off every sentence! Looking forward to johns new adventure here. Hopefully he can get two ton brewing on the show soon !
