Hung Up with Shan Boodram

Just because the relationship is over, doesn’t mean you’re over it. Hosted by sexologist and relationship expert Shan Boodram, Hung Up is a series that challenges guests who are stuck on a past relationship and helps them figure out for themselves how to move on with their lives. Every episode, we meet someone who is hung up and listen as they embark on a journey to try and clear a way forward. Along the way, we talk with others in their lives to gain insight, uncover new aspects of their stories, and, ultimately, confront the core of what has been holding them back. These conversations are raw, profound, funny, and sometimes difficult - but they are always life-changing. Because on the other side of fear is freedom.

Everything Shan touches turns to gold.
I literally can’t get enough of hearing Shan discuss about relationships. As a devout follower of the Lovers & Friends pod, I was SO EXCITED to stumble upon this. Shan has a was of telling a story so concisely while never skipping on pertinent details. I love how open she is to other’s stories and perspectives & takes the guest on a journey through the weeds to find the root of what’s really hanging them up. It’s so encouraging hearing the hope the guests have for their futures after talking to Shan & it makes me feel hopeful in my own journey. The wisdom she shares can be implemented in every person’s life so we can all move through relationships with more intention. So grateful for this show in this season of my life that I’m really devoting some time to discovering what I want and need in relationships moving forward. Thanks again Shan for another gem!

    Comeon, Really?
Love the show and stories but how is it possible every story ends with- I’ve now met the love of my life! Like really? This is just not realistic. It seems like these episodes were cherry picked for this ending and it’s honestly a little nauseating. It’s like, here’s the happily ever after, like each story is a romantic comedy. It’s kind of annoying. Love the stories but that’s hard to believe.

    Boring
I listened to an ad for this podcast on another podcast. It sounded very interesting to me so I listened to a couple episodes. This is one of the most boring and least interesting podcasts I ever listened to. Maybe a good listen to fall asleep to

Rich in nuance & clarity around relationship endings
Shan Boodram models coaching/professional helping as she provides structure and support to people unable to let go of a relationship ending. The show is powerfully humane and deeply connecting. There’s abundant resource in emotionally transparent conversations. Love this podcast!
